A pasir malam in Kovan
A ‘pasir malam’ or night market outside Heartland Mall Kovan. The fair, which is a regular sight in HDB estates, typically runs from mid-morning to 10pm. The original ‘pasir malams’ of the early 70′s had vendors lay their wares on canvas sheets on the tarmac along the roadsides of HDB estates. These ‘pasir malams’ usually operated from about 6pm to 10pm only.
